Disgraceful Romantics is the account of a seven week stay with an art commune in the rural town of Petatlán, Guerrero, Mexico. Through the eyes of a bewildered poet, this work reflects the serious differences in American and Mexican cultures, the examination of how groups work under stress, and most importantly, how industrial tourism has infected this region of Mexico.
