“He who has a why to live can bear any how.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
It is with great pleasure that I write to you all…for the time where the schooling is no more (for 1 glorious month). The holidays are upon us, the festivities are bright, and the firepunching whiskey-drinking collar grabbing lip busting couch sleeping has officially – begun.

“Humankind cannot bear very much reality.” – T.S. Eliot
But what does this mean for you, you ask? Well, it means that I can pay more attention to you, to the needs of the community, and meditation chakra healing shit (which is something I’ve been meaning to do but never get around to it because of Netflix-instant-watch). Which brings me to my next point: time management.

“I don’t think my parents liked me. They put a live teddy bear in my crib.” – Woody Allen
After the semester ends, I find myself in a hole of debt, carried over from the issues of October and November respectively. When I smoked cigarettes, I used to put them on my credit card during hard times. But using credit cards…is like drinking out of the clawfist of Satan. Fun, but you pay for it down the road. I’m no Petey Wheatstraw, so I’ll be taking my chances with abject poverty and dreams of when food was aplenty…

“I watched myself put my paw in the bear trap on that one because there was this clause about leaving members.” – Elliott Smith
Make sense Smith, jesus. Christ. Whenever I think of the “Burning Man” phenomenon, I cringe. When I first heard about it back in 2004, I thought to myself, “Awesome! Desert Mayhem, Art, and Drugs.” Then after thinking more about it, desert mayhem, art, and drugs sounded like a redesigned type of hell on earth. People, die. But people die everywhere, and that is the burden of existing, the burden we must as mortals, bear. On a day-to-day basis.

“Never feed or toss food to a bear.” Safety Tips on Bear Encounters
In a month, I will be back in the academic game, writing papers, studying language history, microbiology, and preparing for SXSW. We played it last year, and it was fun; albeit I did have the flu at the time. Dedication Jimmy. Dedication and hard work. Playing festivals is awesome: free beers, foods, monies, and memories. Free memories.
