Well, well, well sleepyhead…guess who stayed up all night? Mornings with groggy sleep remind me two things: France and university in 2002. From the years 2002 – 2005, it was like someone slipped a couple of hundred quaaludes into my mind, and told me to do a lot of batshit crazy shit.

So there was this one time, where I walked into a French airport carrying all my bags, smoking a cigarette out of the side of mouth. I had a job, I had some money. All I wanted was a goddam drink at 5 a.m. and all I got was a strange Moroccan man trying to cuddle with me. So we did.

Yeah sure, I thought about killing a man before, who hasn’t? Especially weirdos at an airport during the witching hour of 5 a.m. in northern France. If you ever run into someone trying to be really friendly with you, it’s because they want something from you. And pay attention to the dirt under their fingernails…

I dunno, not all situations are bad. Time’s short, life’s short, gotta stay up all night got demons to fight, you know, that sort of thing… As long as you can find a nice home to relax into, good lighting, a nice bottle of scotch and some warm books, then you’re set. And the internet.
